Amangiri (peaceful mountain) is a luxury resort tucked into a protected valley with spectacular views towards the Grand Staircase – Escalante National Monument. The resort is surrounded by powerful canyons and towering plateaus. The Yoga Pavilion provides a unique ambience with windows looking onto a canyon.


Amangiri offers 34 suites in total: 13 Desert View Suites, 14 Mesa View Suites, one Terrace Suite, two Mesa Pool Suites, two Desert Pool Suites, the Girijaala Suite and the Amangiri Suite. Internet is accessed through wireless broadband connections in all suites and public areas.

Desert View Suites: These suites enjoy uninterrupted views of the valley’s dunes and plateaus.

Mesa View Suites: The panoramic views of the surrounding mesas from these suites are particularly spectacular at sunset. At this time of day the mesas are bathed in hues of gold and rose.

Terrace Suite: The Terrace Suite enjoys a larger desert lounge with two lounging chairs opposite the resting mattresses. This suite offers a unique and intimate view of the mountain ridge and rock escarpment.

Desert Pool Suites: The two Desert Pool Suites offer larger private pools measuring 5 by 4 metres (16 by 14 feet), private sky terraces and Desert Wing views of dunes and plateaus.

Mesa Pool Suites: Each Mesa Pool Suite features a private plunge pool, a large daybed in the arrival courtyard and a private sky terrace accessed via a flight of stairs. The sky terrace features a daybed that is ideal for daytime lounging or night-time star gazing. Located on the Mesa Wing, these suites offer panoramic views similar to those of the Mesa View Suites.

The Girijaala Suite: The Girijaala Suite features panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ridge and an over-sized desert lounge. Guest entry is through a private courtyard with stairs leading up to a sky lounge offering a large day bed. Broad stairs lead from the entry courtyard to an expansive swimming pool and terrace. The swimming pool, with spectacular views, measures 14 by 4 metres (46 by 12 feet) and the terrace provides four sun-loungers and built-in lounge seating with a dining table. The interior follows the layout of the suites, however the dressing room features two spacious bathing areas separated by a breezeway connecting the desert lounge with the swimming pool; one featuring twin rain showers and the other a comfortable soaking tub.

The Amangiri Suite: Entry to the Amangiri Suite is through a spacious courtyard extending around the suite to an expansive swimming pool and terrace. The swimming pool measures 18 by 4 metres (60 by 12 feet) and the terrace provides two daybeds, four sun-loungers, built-in lounge seating and a dining area. The interior of the Amangiri Suite follows the flow of the suites with an additional bathing area containing twin showers. Separating the two bathing areas is a breezeway that connects the desert lounge with the swimming pool terrace. Rising from the entry courtyard are steps that lead to the sky terrace. This features a large day bed for lounging during the day or star gazing in the evenings.

Spa and Wellness:

The Spa aims to reflect the healing traditions of the Navajo through the four elements of earth, wind, fire and water. Spread across 2,322 square metres (25,000 square feet), the pavilions, treatments rooms and terraces provide a variety of treatments including massages, scrubs, wraps and flotation therapy. Amangiri’s Aman Spa features a floatation therapy pavilion, water pavilion with sauna, steam room, cold plunge and step pool, fitness centre and yoga pavilion.

Wellness Activities

Yoga: Amangiri’s bamboo-floored Yoga Pavilion has windows looking onto a canyon wall and is filled with natural light. The ambiance is inspiring, relaxing and nurturing. Yoga programs include restorative yoga with an emphasis on relaxation, and full moon yoga under the stars, as well as private sessions that may be tailored to guests preferences. These may include prenatal yoga, yoga with a fit ball, heart chakra yoga incorporating pranayama breathing and affirmations, outdoor yoga which involves Native American beauty blessings interwoven with Chi Gong and Sun Salutations, and other personalized options. There are also complimentary group classes offered throughout the week.

Pilates: Pilates is a body conditioning system that helps build flexibility, strength and endurance and as well as long, lean muscles. It emphasizes spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing correctly and the development of a strong core to improve coordination and balance. Amanresorts has developed a comprehensive approach to Pilates that includes an in-depth postural assessment to ascertain the individual needs of ever Aman guest who would like to enjoy the benefits of Pilates. Aman Pilates is suitable for everyone, from the desk-bound executive to the champion triathlete, and ensures that guests receive informed, intelligent and tailored advice on how to take care of their bodies and use pilates to improve their lifestyles. Aman Pilates offers clinical exercise, fitness- and sports-specific training, and a full range of equipment including the Reformer, Trapeze table, Wunda Chair and a variety of Barrels.

Hiking and Trails: Amangiri offers on site and off site hiking. Trail difficulties ranging from beginner to advanced, there is something for everyone. The hiking trails on the property are well marked and maintained and are easily accessible from the resort. The offsite hiking is on the southwest’s widest range of hiking opportunities, guided and unguided. In a region renowned for its needle-thin rock towers, slickrock domes and slot canyons.

Horse Back Rides: To experience the pristine desert tundra on horseback, wandering through sweeping landscapes, towering sandstone peaks and along slot canyons, is an iconic American southwest adventure. Horseriding tours within Amangiri’s extensive trail system are available to suit all experience levels and abilities. A variety of two-hour trail routes offer multiple days of riding opportunities, with longer tours also available.

At the centre of the resort is the Pavilion, with dramatic views of rock formations and the swimming pool to one side and panoramic views of the surrounding plateaus to the other. Within the Pavilion are the Living Room, Gallery, Library, Dining Room, Private Dining Room and Cellar.Living Room
The Living Room is located in three spacious alcoves which enjoy sweeping views. Protected by glass walls, each alcove is divided into two cosy seating areas that focus on a wood-burning fireplace. Whilst the view during the day is larger than life, in the evening the drapes are drawn to create an intimate environment.


The Gallery showcases the region’s best art, jewellery and handicrafts including works from the Navajo community. The Gallery also offers a range of destination books, resort wear and conveniences available for purchase.

Situated on an elevated plinth in the centre of the Pavilion is the Library. A series of extended sofas is punctuated with ledges filled with books, magazines and board games – the ideal space for daytime relaxing or after dinner drinks. While wireless internet access is available throughout the public areas and suites, the Library also offers a laptop for guest use.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Dining Room features floor-to-ceiling glass doors which open onto the outdoor dining terrace overlooking the swimming pool. A focal point of the Dining Room is the open kitchen with its wood-fired oven imparting a unique flavour and rustic authenticity to Amangiri’s cuisine. The menu changes frequently, driven by locally-sourced seasonal produce. The Dining Room offers the ambience of a private residence with informed and attentive service.

Private Dining Room and Cellar
Located opposite the open kitchen is the Private Dining Room and the Wine Cellar. The felt-clad Private Dining Room with large wooden table and open fireplace seats up to ten people. Ideal for private gatherings, the large wooden doors can remain open so guests can experience the open kitchen or they can be closed for privacy. Next to the Private Dining Room is a walk-in Wine Cellar. The floor-to-ceiling walnut cabinets house a selection of wines, and a built-in, state-of-the-art wine dispenser offers guests the opportunity to experience unique and artisinal wines by the glass. Housed in the Cellar is a humidor for guests who enjoy a fine cigar. Featuring an elevated tasting table, the Cellar is temperature controlled to provide the ideal storage conditions for fine wines.

The 2,322-square metre (25,000-square feet) Aman Spa at Amangiri is a vast complex of stone, water features and streams of light, offering a number of unique treatment venues. The Water Pavilion features a steam room, a dry sauna and a cold plunge pool and the Floatation Pavilion offers colour therapy-enhanced floatation treatments. The Spa offers single and double treatment rooms in addition to two outdoor treatment terraces with spectacular views of the mesas.

Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is set within a sunken courtyard framed by the Pavilion and rock escarpment. It wraps around the rock to finish with a hot tub that sits at the base of a rock wall. The lounging terrace that surrounds the pool features king-sized daybeds, some of which appear to float on the water, and pairs of sun-loungers. Adjacent to the hot tub is the Campfire Pavilion which faces inwards. Warmed by a fire during winter, it is an inviting nook for lounging and relaxing.

Desert Lounge
Located beyond the Pavilion, the Desert Lounge is an open-air living room featuring a series of loose furniture pieces that can be grouped together or separated for privacy. It is a special place to enjoy the beauty of the sunset and lighting levels are kept low at night to reveal the star-lit sky.


The cuisine at Amangiri is inspired by the American Southwest and made primarily from locally sourced ingredients carefully selected by the chef. Meals are served from an open kitchen to tables that look out through floor-to-ceiling windows over the ever-changing colours of the desert. Amangiri’s menu is designed to be explored and discussed with the chefs, pairing farm-fresh products with modern interpretations on Southwestern traditions.


Set on 600 acres in Canyon Point, Southern Utah, close to the border with Arizona. 25-minute drive from the nearest town of Page, Arizona and a 15-minute drive to the shores of Lake Powell.
