Punakha offers guests exceptional access to some of Bhutan’s most celebrated landscapes and historic sites, including the famous Temple of the Divine Madman and the imposing Punakha Dzong. Punakha’s cultural and historical significance, as well as its unspoiled natural beauty, makes the valley an essential stop on any tour of Bhutan, perfect for hiking, cycling, river rafting and exploring the area’s many wonder.
With nine hillside Valley View rooms, and two free-standing luxury private villas (one One-Bedroom Villa and one two-bedroom COMO Villa), Uma Punakha provides luxury in the wilderness in signature COMO style.

Once the capital of Bhutan, and the seat of government until 1955, Punakha is home to the Punakha Dzong—an imposing temple that sits on the confluence of the two main rivers in Bhutan, the Mo Chu and Po Chu, just a short distance from the hotel.
Flight to Paro Airport Bhutan. Punakha is five-hour drive from Paro. Guests often pair their trip with the few nights on either end at Uma Paro by COMO.
